Party Themes for the Preschooler

busy legs party rentalsAttracting the attention of a preschooler during a party is probably the most difficult task. Things, which attract most preschooler, are colorful and entertaining surroundings. A preschooler can easily get mesmerized by fairies, cars, dragons, Santa Claus, etc. A birthday party for them has to be creative and according to there likes and dislikes. Party themes, which can captivate any preschooler, include.

1. Farm party

To hoist a farm party, it is not necessary that you own a farm. In your backyard this task can be accomplished easily. Make horses and cows using colorful cardboard
taped to moving trolleys.  You can also buy small cowboy hats for boys and scarf for girls. In the garden place few plastic animals and try to recreate the magic of Old MacDonald’s Farm. If possible enact the story of the Old MacDonald’s Farm. All the little guests are going to love this. Try to buy balloons in shape of animals because they will add five stars to the party.

2. Teddy Bear party

Teddy Bears are a hot favorite among preschoolers of all age and throwing a party on this theme is slowly getting popular. Arrange for bear shaped cookies and cakes to attract the preschoolers. Give small teddy bears as a return gift to the guests. Construct a den for the biggest teddy bear your kid possesses and light the den colorfully. Plates with bear ears are widely available in the market. In short make your house a ‘BEAR DEN’ for one day.

3. Fairyland Party

Fairies and goblins are loved by all kids. Hoisting a party on this theme is surely going to be a big hit. Decorate the walls will sparkling balls, fairy wings and wands. Ask the guests to be dressed up like fairies or goblins and get the birthday kid dressed up like a fairy queen or king. Give each guest a separate wand, fairy wings or goblin hats.

4. Sea Life Party

Youngsters are fascinated by the life present under the sea. A party based on the sea life is going to be remembered for months together. The party color should be deep green or blue so that it truly depicts the life under water.  Fill the largest bucket with water and put plastic fish, lobster and starfish inside. This will give the kids an idea about the actual sea life.  Gift each child a little mermaid tail; decorate the walls with colorful paper boats, whales, fish and other sea animal you can draw. If possible try to cover the walls with blue paper to give the room real sea effect. Instead of covering the table with a cloth cover it with fishing net.

5. Tricycle party

You can also hoist a tricycle birthday party because the party for a preschooler has to be creative and innovative. On the invitation card that you send remember to ask each guest to bring their tricycle, strollers or wagons. Organize a small parade or race in your yard with all kids driving their cycles.  Cut the birthday cake in the yard itself and distribute prizes to the race winners.
